Website backups

Open Backups to create portable recovery archives.

• Full website backup includes website files, managed databases, authoritative DNS, cron jobs, email configuration, forwarders, and mailbox data.
• Email-only backup includes the linked domain's email accounts, forwarders, mailbox homes, complete messages, and attachments without changing website files, databases, DNS, or cron jobs during restore.

The backup list shows status, scope, creation time, and size. Download completed archives for off-server disaster recovery. You can delete an archive after confirmation.

To restore a downloaded archive, select Restore downloaded backup and choose the .tar.gz file. Core Panel uploads in chunks, displays progress and transfer speed, inspects the archive scope, validates its contents, and then performs the restore. Current data in the selected scope may be replaced. Keep an off-server copy before restoring.

Understand backup scopes

Website and mail backups support workload-level recovery. They do not replace the encrypted, panel-wide disaster-recovery bundles configured under System Settings > Panel recovery.
